Free Streetcar Rides for the Winter Light Festival

Posted January 26, 2026 by Streetcar

The annual Portland Winter Light Festival kicks off February 6, bringing a citywide network of lighted art installations to Portland across two weekends.

With many events, installations and performances in the central city, Portland Streetcar service will once again be free to ride after 5pm each night of the festival—February 6, 7, 13 and 14.

Ride free to access the many hubs of the festival at PNCA, Director Park, Pioneer Courthouse Square, the South Park Blocks and the eastside Electric Blocks. Check out the full list of events and performances at the festival website.

And don’t miss our own entry to the festival: exterior LED lighting along all of the Oregon-built streetcars in our fleet. Just our little way of shining bright during a dark time of year in the Pacific Northwest.

Portland Streetcar is proud to have sponsored the Winter Light Festival for more than 10 years with free rides and we look forward to everything this year’s event has to offer.
