Join us on Sunday, August 14th at 10:30am for storytime on the NS LIne.  We will read Michelle Knudson's Library Lion.  The fun will continue with a tour and scavenger hunt at the Children's Library.  You can even get your first library card!  Each child will receive a goodie bag from Portland Streetcar and a copy of Library Lion, courtesy of Child's Play Toys.

Space is limited and reservations are required.  Reservation will include the above as well as a Streetcar fare for the parental unit.  Reservations can be made by calling (503) 222-4200 or emailing the Customer Service Office.

Portland Streetcar invites you to join us during First Thursday in the Pearl District, August 4th from 4:00 - 7:00pm for an Open House with eats and drinks at our Customer Service Office located at 1031 NW 11th Ave.  The entries for the "Inspired by Streetcar" Art Contest will be on display throughout the office for the kickoff of the public voting with social media voting beginning on Friday.  We were blown away by the variety and quality of the contributions to the contest, thank you all!  And a big thank you to our prize sponsors, Pro Photo Supply, Blick Art Materials, and Frame Central for helping make the contest possible.

All attendees of the Open House will have the chance to enter to win 4 tickets to see The Lion King at the Keller Auditorium.

15 years ago, we shut down the streets and dirt roads for a parade of 5 streetcars, the Lions of Badacuda and a band of supporters to walk the new Portland Streetcar route from Portland State University to NW 23rd Avenue.  With the hope of 2,000-3,000 riders a day and supporting a new neighborhood the spirits were high.  

In 2016, we celebrate 15 years of service, a tripling of the system to 3 lines and 16-miles of track and over 49 MILLION riders over the life of the system.  A lot has changed since that opening day, we now serve the South Waterfront and the east side, serve 15,000 riders a day and operate 14 streetcars Monday through Saturday.  The next 15 years are sure to bring more growth and adventure.  We look forward to taking the trip with you!  

Join us on Saturday, July 23rd as we celebrate 15 years of service with our 7th Streetcar Mobile Music Fest.  Beginning at 4:30, bands will play on board every North|South (NS) Line streetcar between the PSU Urban Plaza and NW 23rd & Marshall.  With music ranging from blues to opera and everything in between, this is a family friendly evening with something for everyone. Join us at the beginning of the evening in the Urban Plaza for a slice of cake and celebration. A big thank you and shout out to the Portland Radio Project for their support of the fest!
